THE ARGUMENT<\/p>\n

We all of us appear<\/em> to ourselves and to our
\nfellows as living material organisms of body, brain
\nand thought existing as objects in Space-Time and
\ncoming into existence in Space-Time at birth while
\ngoing out of existence on death. We appear<\/em> to
\nourselves and our fellows as impermanent, for each
\none of us, in appearance, changes in bodily form
\nfrom childhood to age between the times of birth
\nand death. We know<\/em> all this, and some hold that
\nman is no more than what he appears to be, that
\nis, an impermanent object in Space-Time.<\/p>\n
