Access to Lexis Practice Advisor is available to the entire McGill community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practical Law Canada<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ca.practicallaw.thomsonreuters.com\/\">Practical Law Canada<\/a> (PLC) is a research tool that provides\u00a0a variety of practical resources to help lawyers get their work done more efficiently. Practice notes, which provide guidelines and explanations of current law and practice, precedents with detailed drafting notes, and checklists, timelines and flowcharts, are created and maintained by a team of expert lawyers, who ensure that their material reflects current practice. The practice areas covered are:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Capital Markets &amp; Securities<br \/>\n&#8211; Commercial Real Estate<br \/>\n&#8211; Commercial Transactions<br \/>\n&#8211; Competition<br \/>\n&#8211; Corporate and M&amp;A<br \/>\n&#8211; Employment<br \/>\n&#8211; Finance<br \/>\n&#8211; Litigation (Corporate &amp; Commercial)<\/p>\n<p>In addition, PLC offers a provincial comparison tool, allowing users to compare laws and requirements in a particular area of law, across the country. Last, their product\u00a0What&#8217;s Market allows you to easily analyse and compare terms or features across publicly filed deals.<\/p>\n<p>Guides, video tutorials (in both languages) and interactive eLearning (English Only) are available here:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/store1.thomsonreuters.ca\/learning\/practical-law-canada\">https:\/\/store1.thomsonreuters.ca\/learning\/practical-law-canada<\/a> (Eng)\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/store1.thomsonreuters.ca\/apprentissage\/practical-law-canada\">https:\/\/store1.thomsonreuters.ca\/apprentissage\/practical-law-canada<\/a> (Fr). A training session in the library will be offered during the course of the semester.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lexis Practice Advisor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/proxy.library.mcgill.ca\/login?url=https:\/\/advance.lexis.com\/practice-advisor-can-home\/?identityprofileid=T8DXQB29521\">Lexis Practice Advisor<\/a> is another practitioner-oriented research tool. Similar to PLC, the platform also features practice notes, precedents with detailed drafting notes, checklists and flowcharts, as well as forms and articles, all maintained by a team of expert lawyers.\u00a0The practice areas covered are:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Capital Markets and M&amp;A<br \/>\n&#8211; Commercial<br \/>\n&#8211; Corporate and Private M&amp;A<br \/>\n&#8211; Employment<br \/>\n&#8211; Family Law (BC and Ontario only)<br \/>\n&#8211; Finance<br \/>\n&#8211; Insolvency &amp; Restructuring<br \/>\n&#8211; In-House Counsel<br \/>\n&#8211; Intellectual Property &amp; Technology<br \/>\n&#8211; Litigation &amp; Dispute Resolution<br \/>\n&#8211; Personal Injury (BC and Ontario only)<br \/>\n&#8211; Wills, Trusts &amp; Estates (BC and Ontario only)<\/p>\n<p>While the content is primarily Canadian, some international, US, UK, and EU content is also available.<\/p>\n<p>Training on Lexis Practice Advisor will be\u00a0offered during the course of the semester.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAIJ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le <a href=\"http:\/\/espace.caij.qc.ca\">CAIJ<\/a> met \u00e0 votre disposition des ressources couvrant l\u2019ensemble des champs de la pratique juridique.
