Do you know that the Osler Library gives out awards and travel grants to local and international researchers each year? We are currently accepting applications for the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Cmd+Click or tap to follow the link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/library\/branches\/osler\/awards\/grant\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Edward H. Bensley Osler Library Research Travel Grant<\/a> &#8211; Awarded to those whose project requires traveling to Montreal to consult material in the Osler Library. Each year up to $4000 in awards will be made available to one or more individuals who require a <u>minimum<\/u> of 2 weeks to carry out their research. This research must fall within the calendar year in which the grant is awarded.\u00a0<strong>Applications for the 2017 grant must be received by December 31, 2016.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Cmd+Click or tap to follow the link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/library\/branches\/osler\/awards\/nickerson\" target=\"_blank\">Mary Louise Nickerson Award in Neuro History<\/a> &#8211; Awarded to one or more scholars who are interested in carrying out research utilizing the Neuro History Archival and Artifact Collections \u2013 the centre-piece of which is the <a href=\"http:\/\/osler.library.mcgill.ca\/archives\/index.php\/detail\/?fondid=4661\" target=\"_blank\">Penfield Archive<\/a> in the Osler Library \u2013 and other available resources at the Osler Library, the Montreal Neurological Institute, and the McGill University Archives.\u00a0<strong>Applications for the 2017 award must be received by December 31, 2016.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/library\/branches\/osler\/awards\/pivnicki\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Dimitrije Pivnicki Award in Neuro and Psychiatric History<\/a> &#8211; Awarded to one or more students and\/or scholars wishing to carry out research utilizing the rich archival and monographic holdings at McGill University, such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/osler.library.mcgill.ca\/archives\/index.php\/detail\/?fondid=4661\" target=\"_blank\">Penfield Archive<\/a>, and other resources available at the Osler Library (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/library\/\" target=\"_blank\">McGill Library Catalogue<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/osler.library.mcgill.ca\/archives\/\" target=\"_blank\">Osler Library Archives Collection<\/a>), the Montreal Neurological Institute, and the McGill University Archives. <strong>Applications for the 2017 award must be received by December 31, 2016.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/library\/branches\/osler\/awards\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2779 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.library.mcgill.ca\/osler-library\/files\/2016\/11\/PicMonkey-Collage.jpg\" alt=\"picmonkey-collage\" width=\"297\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a>Additional information on terms, requirements, how to apply, previous winners, and general information about the library can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/library\/branches\/osler\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
