Why were English language\u00a0books being printed in Vienna? Why was <em>The Vicar of\u00a0Wakefield<\/em> so popular and what do the German English\u00a0editions say about language learning? What was the\u00a0attraction that Pope held for continental readers? Why\u00a0did English novels attract so many non-English\u00a0readers? This travelling exhibition will be on display until the beginning of August.
