{"id":3938,"date":"2014-12-11T10:55:28","date_gmt":"2014-12-11T15:55:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.library.mcgill.ca\/schulich\/?p=3938"},"modified":"2017-02-13T13:47:01","modified_gmt":"2017-02-13T18:47:01","slug":"bagels-in-space","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.library.mcgill.ca\/schulich\/bagels-in-space\/","title":{"rendered":"Bagels in space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.library.mcgill.ca\/schulich\/files\/2014\/12\/FairmountBagels.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3939 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.library.mcgill.ca\/schulich\/files\/2014\/12\/FairmountBagels-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"FairmountBagels\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.library.mcgill.ca\/schulich\/files\/2014\/12\/FairmountBagels-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.library.mcgill.ca\/schulich\/files\/2014\/12\/FairmountBagels.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have the pleasure of living right between Fairmount and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stviateurbagel.com\/\">St-Viateur Bagel<\/a> and I refuse to pick a side, but here is one cool thing that I noticed on my bag of bagels from Fairmount: 1st bagel in space!<\/p>\n<p>There has been some attention on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fairmountbagel.com\/\">Fairmount Bagel<\/a> lately, since they were thought to have joined the world of Twitter\u00a0but then the account <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/montreal\/fairmount-bagel-s-twitter-account-a-fake-says-owner-1.2862361\">turned out to be a fake<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The NASA mission to the International Space Station was\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/mission_pages\/shuttle\/shuttlemissions\/sts124\/main\/index.html\">STS 124<\/a>\u00a0when Montreal-born astronaut, Greg Chamitoff, brought 18 sesame bagels with him.
