I want to bring your attention to an event that is geared towards undergraduate students of all backgrounds. The MCIN<\/a>\u00a0is hosting an interactive talk (with breakfast) highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of neuroscience research.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is happening at the Montreal Neurological Institute<\/a> (<\/span>de Grandpr\u00e9 Communications Centre), Thursday,\u00a0<\/span>November 17th, 9:30 a.m. to\u00a0noon.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are entering a new era in our understanding of both healthy and\u00a0<\/span>pathological brain function, which underpins all human behaviour.\u00a0\u00a0It\u00a0<\/span>is only through interdisciplinary convergence, pooling the expertise\u00a0<\/span>of individuals with extraordinarily varied backgrounds of study and\u00a0<\/span>experience, that we can continue to advance our understanding of the\u00a0<\/span>ultimate puzzle that is the mind.\u00a0\u00a0In this event, we will present ways\u00a0<\/span>in which \u201cthinking outside the brain\u201d has proven beneficial to brain\u00a0<\/span>research within our centre, along with small-group workshops to foster\u00a0<\/span>collaborative learning and encourage synergies.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
