About

My name is Edward Bilodeau, and I am the liaison librarian for management and business at McGill University. This means that I am responsible for the supporting primarily the students and faculty at the Desautels Faculty of Management to get the most out of the Library’s resources, services, and facilities.

This weblog is a place for me to write about my work as a librarian and to share news, tips and resources to help you to discover the many ways that the Library can support your learning, teaching, and research.

I also useĀ Facebook to engage in shorter, more frequent sharing along these same lines. (I’m also on Twitter, but my sharing there is more general, relating to my work and my efforts to apply minimalism to improve my efficiency and effectiveness.)

In addition to supporting management as an area of study, I also write about other topics that are of particular interest to me: social media, communications, knowledge management, organizational learning, and library administration to name a few. And although I’ve recently pivoted away from information technology as a professional focus, I expect that I’ll occasionally write about that as well, specifically as it relates to management, libraries, or academia.

For those who are interested, here is my academic profile page and curriculum vitae.

You can always get in touch with my via any of these channels, or by emailing me at edward.bilodeau@mcgill.ca.
