McGill News: A flash in the past

Hi friends!
In 2008 an interview by the McGill News was conducted with some of our esteemed colleagues and researchers. It also provides a nice overview of the history of the IIS & ISL, which are now celebrating our 60th anniversary!

Digitization

Hi friends:

Another Manuscript has been digitized and made available via our digitization programme. This mss is Osler MSS 10-حل مشكلة الاشارات و التنبيهات بقلم طوسي

The mss is available to download here: http://digitool.library.mcgill.ca/webclient/DeliveryManager?&pid=107458.

This manuscript coincides with the other digital projects the ISL has undertaken. These projects include the Shahnameh, Islamic Calligraphy, the Ibrahim Muteferrika incunabula collection and a forthcoming Ghazali digital collection based on the Ghazali exhibition in the main foyer of the McLennan library.

Enjoy!

Islamic Studies Subject Guide

Hi friends:

I’ve recently updated both the Islamic Studies and Middle East subject guides with new information and resources. The Islamic Studies guide now includes General sourcebooks and introductions source list for quick consultation.

Also, we have recently acquired Oxford Bibliographies Online Islamic Studies which will soon be available via McGill’s catalogue.

Happy end of term!
