McGill students have great interest in courses related to Japanese popular culture such as Japanese cinema, manga and animation. Each term more students registered such courses than the capacity could accommodate. To meet the needs of teaching, learning and research, our library has developed a relatively strong collection in this field. Recently, we have purchased many English translations from Japanese authors, published by Vertical and Kurodahan, two major Japanese novel and manga publishers outside of Japan. Here are some examples of these books. You are welcome to borrow some of them to read during your winter holiday break.
